I boot up my computer and it boots to this blue screen with the following message:
STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file): \SystemRoot\System32\Config\SYSTEM or its log or alternate. It is corrupt, absent, or not writable. What does this mean really? What can I do about it? Thanks adrianse P.S. Thank God I have a laptop with a wireless connection so I can ask you guys this! |

More than likely you will have to perform a repair install, you might try the last known good config but I doubt you'll have any luck

Agreed, press F8 on bootup to get to the boot menu and try the last good config option. If that fails, run the restore option.
