Installation error w/ illustrator 10 on XP
I am trying to install Illustrator 10 on my pc w/ xp and I keep getting a error message :
Component: window sysfiles File Group: MSVCRT File: ERROR: the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. Please help. |

I have two versions a friend of mine had.
One is an upgrade and the other is a full version. Niether of them can get past this error. I tried to remove the entire program several different ways but nothing seems to work. |

they may be bad copies

They seem to work fine when I loaded them onto another machne here in the office.
I think it is something on my main machine that will not allow a different copy to be reloaded. Maybe some sort of right protection. |

very likely that is the case
you might want to check the regestry for any referance to it and remove them, and try again. |
