MSN Messenger - Voice Conversation
Hi
I have upgraded to MSN 6.0 and I am having problems trying to make a connection when using a voice chat. I used the older version without any problems and its only now that I have upgraded to the newer version, I am experiencing problems! The problem is that I try to initialise a chat on MSN with another user and it says that it is trying to connect. This connection status stays like it for about a minute and then returns an error saying that it is unable to connect. I am not behind a firewall etc and my ISP does allow this to work, as obviously I had it working previously. I have purchased a new microphone and set that all up correctly with no conflicts and IRQ errors. I know that the person I am trying to connect to is all set up correctly as he can complete voice conversations with other users, its only when it comes to try and connect to me! I have checked through the system and seen if all the right channels are set up and all is fine, so I am at abit of a loss now. Any help or ideas would be gratefully appreciated. Kind Regards Karl A few additional details - Using Windows ME, MSN 6.0. |

Is the person you are trying to talk to using the same version? I don't belive the new one will work with the old one.

Yeah, as MSN messenger automatically updates your Messenger. The only time thats a problem is in XP you have windows messenger and if you install MSN messenger, you then have to disable windows messenger as they are different programs and will both run at the same time.
Thanks... Karl |
