PC Mechanic CD/Ebook reference

If I am in the wrong place, I apologize. I just received my PC Mechanic CD with Full PCMech EBook Reference and I cannot open the EBook. I get an error that says -
Access violation at address 77e7a922 in module 'Kernel 32.dll'
Write of addres 26344000

Can anyone tell me how to read my EBook. I can access the "Build your own PC" and the "Bios Post & Beep codes.

Yes, I have Adobe. I can read everything on the CD except the EBook and I can't open the README file, either.
