Trying to make VCD's.

I have Mpeg files on my computer that I have been trying to put on a VCD I have Nero and Roxio, I've went to the part that says it is making them and it proceed to make them however they never play in my DVD player and my DVD player does say on it that it plays VCD's. Do I need a different type of CD-R? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The following info is from another post by RayH:

Try www.vcdhelp.com

The trick to get discs to play on a DVD player is to use VCDEasy (V.1.15). That's the free version.

Some dvd's players say that they support VCD's but they dont support vcd's made by some programs. My dvd wont play anything made by Nero but will play any vcd I make with Roxio.

I can't get any VCD to play in my DVD player made wilth either Nero or Roxio. I use the free version of VCD Easy. The site is from Germany. But the software is English.
