In the UK we are only on version 8, now sure how different the versions are between here and the US! But try www.aol.co.uk u can download it from there.

thanks, that looks like what i am looking for. just one question though. is this aol 8 the same as aol 8 for us US people, or will there be a uk curve to everything. i realize, simon, that you were unsure, just wanted to get others opinions. i have never used aol before, so i wouldn't even know what to look for. thanks

Why would you want AOL 8.0? INtroducing the best AOL ever>9.0, full of new features and the best and most stable AOL ever (Our Software writing monkeys now at least recognize English although none can speak it yet) ANd did I mention the Features! Like our new and exclusive Spam Blocker and Pop-Up Stopper Feature. No longer will you have to put up with unwanted Spam or Pop-ups, except for those that are paying AOL to send out. And our new parental controls will allow you to specify and target advertisements from AOL by your childrens age. ANd did I mention that AOL 9.0 is the simplist AOL ever to use> Now even children as young as 5 years old can have communications with Perverts.
So why are you looking for any other version, just go pick up AOL 9.0 everywhere. |

i don't, know, i have heard people talking about all of the problems people were having, including the computer i was working on. they requested 8, becuase they didn't like 9. i personally am not an aol fan, so i did not have any bias one way or another, just left it up to the customer.

It should be very easy to find an AOL cd for just about any version ever released - there were certainly enough of them sent out. I keep one of each version and toss the rest.
No, do NOT install the UK version. |
