CD's work for install but not game?

Ok well a long time ago I bought Diablo II and made backup copy's of the game with my Mac. I was unable to use these CD's on my PC for some reason, but then found a program(MacOpener) that would allow me to use these backup cd's on my PC to install and hopefully play the game.

After I installed both Diablo II and Exp, I try to play the game but it says that I need to insert the CD. i don't understand how to fix this. Any idea's?

Thanx

Nvm... got a CD crack to finally work...

you can't fix it. The Diablo cd's are track protected and laser locked. You can copy them but they don't have the right encryption to run off burned cd's

But I did with my Mac... I don't see why it wouldn't be able to work on the PC if it installs, and the Mac does the protection thing just fine...

Now im confused is it a mac game. If not your first problem is the encryption technisue that macs use. It's totally different than PC. even if you get it open it still wont run properly because it won't transfer some information that was encrypted to the cd that is mac specific

Blizzard games, such as Diablo II, come on one CD for both PC and Mac... so originally it was usable by both. After making a copy from Mac, I was able to use it on the Mac to both install and play the game. On the PC though, I am only able to install and the CD is unrecognized once I try to start the game. I was just confused about how the PC would use the CD to install, but unable to use it to play the game. Fixed with the no CD crack from gamecopyworld.com though.

PS-Sorry for any confusion about the CD's or my problem
