isnt there an easier way than that?

such as a program - even if you have to buy it - cause that seems really complicated

I've never heard or ULead DVD Movie Express. ULead offer's two DVD authoring programs, ULead DVD Moviefactory designed for the general home market and ULead DVD Workshop which is intended for the home enthusiast market. I do not believe either handles the DivX format.

Because of the uniqueness of DivX, your video really does have to be 'properly' re-encoded to something else (MPEG-2 for DVD) and the tools shown at vcdhelp.com are some of the best at doing just that. The specific page you want is right here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tmpgencdvd.htm
