Cool What is your most used movie player?

Just wanted to know what everyone is using as their favourite media player-to watch avi, mpeg.

< WMP 9

I like the older versions. In fact, it seems like you loose something with each newer version, like you used to be able to navigate and do things like go frame-to-frame with just the arrow keys. It seems like more eye candy but less functionality...

Agreed. For me, a DVD is meant to be viewed on my widescreen Mitsubishi and listened to through my Pioneer Elite home theater.

As good as PC's are, they aren't meant for watching DVD's. I don't mean to sound spoiled, but viewing movies is a sport for me and thus should be done at Wrigly Field, not the sandlot next door.

I have very few if any video files on my PC at home. But Windows Media Player is what I use, simply because it's the default player and I have no need for anything "better".

Now at the studio...video is 45-55% of our business. So there, we just use the player asssociated with whatever application we are using (Premiere, Avid...).

I guess quicktime then, but very rarely. (red vs blue only) although I'm thinking of putting them on DVD anyway.

I still use WMP 6.4 on my main computer. I have WMP 9 on one computer, but would rather use the older one.

WMP 9 - I like many of the features it has such as CD burning. I also like things that look good. I hate Quick Time and Real Player more than I can describe.
