What are those little pictures that come up next to some web addresses called? Well, whatever they are, they have stopped appearing in Internet explorer for me. I am running windows xp, and explorer is up to date. I just noticed that they stopped appearing one day. Any Ideas of what it could be and how to fix it?

They're called favicons. In me version of IE (6) I always have an e. Mozilla uses the site's icon.

Well, they are all "e" now, but they used to be the sites icons.

They are stored in the Internet temp folder. When you empty the temp folder they are deleted.

Ok, if you insist. Hold your mouse pointer over the e icon next to pcmech, drag it out of the window and then drag it back into the url address bar (don't release it while dragging and dropping). You may have to repeat that a few times but it works. The e should change to pcmech icon. The favicons are being emptied when you empty the TIFs. Personally I'd rather keep them emptied rather than have a bloated file and not worry about icons. For some reason Mozilla doesn't matter.
