Outlook express trouble

Hey..i am having trouble opening outlook express everytime i try to open it a window pops up and it says this...

Outlook express could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be loaded

does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do

What OS and which version of Outlook Express are you using?

I had that problem. I went M$ and downloaded the next version and got OE back working.

Take a look at the list of links to MS KB articles that address the msoe errors here.

However, your response to glc's suggestion indicates that maybe you haven't been visiting the Windows Update site on a regular basis, perhaps? If that's the case, open IE, go to Tools>Windows Update, when asked let the update engine install, tell it to scan for updates and then get the ones listed in the "critical updates and service packs" section.

The ones in the "Windows 98" section are optional so read the descriptions carefully before installing any.

The ones in the "Driver Updates" section are, in my opinion, to be avoided at all costs. Driver updates are best gotten from the manufacturer of the component and generally aren't needed so long as everything's working to your satisfaction.
