How do I make a BOOT disc?

I am trying to make a boot disc but it does not seem to be working for me!

Can you guys let me know how to do it. I am using Nero (6) to do it but I have a few other programs I could use.

Turn All Of Your Old Bootable Floppies Into Bootable Cd's [the easy way]

First Of All You Need A Cd-Burner, Nero Burning Rom v5.5 or higher
A Floppie Drive, A Blank CDR Disk
When You Have Everything:
Load Up Nero With Your Floppy In The Drive And Blank Cd In The Cd-Recorder
Close The Wizard
Hold Ctrl + N
Until A Box Appears
Scroll Down The List Until You Reach CDROM (Boot)
Click It
Bootable Logical Drive Must Be A:
Click The Burn TAB
Click New
Click File
Then Write Cd
Then Write
Done

Right I am a bti confused. I will explain what I want to do.

I lost my Windows XP CD (original!) but I made a back up to my PC before I lost it. So I have all the files safely on my HDD from the CD.

I have tried burning these using Nero Boot CD but it does not boot when it should, it just says 'Boot CD' (when you usually press any key to boot from CD) and it doesn't boot.

Am I doing something wrong?

Also I am wondering if it is possible to make a bootable DVD with all the Operating Systems I have on and choose which to install.

So like,

Win 98
Win XP Home
Win XP Pro

Anyone know how to do this?
