Crashed computer - Can I save the email addys?

Hi all,
I have a client computer that crashed dramatically after they installed SP1 for XP home. Whatever happened caused quite a mess. It emptied the My Docs folder, and scattered the files ALL over the C drive. I'm finding word docs of theirs in folders within the Program Files, and Windows folders. Weird.

Anyway, I think I can get most of the data, but I don't know how to back up Outlook express email addys without being in the program itself. Any ideas? Thank you for your time.

You need to look for a file that ends in .WAB. I don't know for sure about XP because I'm still using Win95, but with my version of OE, they are under C:\WINDOWS\APPLICATION DATA\MICROSOFT\ADDRESS BOOK. hth

Hey thanks! It was actually in Documents and settings, but I found it! My client will be happy.

Yeah, I figured it'd be a different place in XP than in Win95. Glad you found it though.
