i need a temp monitor
i need to monitor the temps on my computer. its running win98. soyo MB, Pentium 3 cpu. the problem is i dont have a monitor that works right. i have motherboard monitor but its not givin the right temps. are there others?

It may not be want you want to hear, but the most enjoyable monitor is *none*... I only check temps for the first day of a new build, then disable or uninstall the software. I don't even let my client know they can monitor temps, and I have a lot more enjoyable time on my own systems just using them instead of worrying about temps...

lol i know how you feel. i just dont want to kill this pentium. but i might not have to worry about that becouse it doesnt seem to be OCIng. the settings in the bios change but nothing else. the chip is still going at the same speed. any suggestions on that temp monmitor, or something a little more extensive?

Why not use the one that came with the mobo? (I assume it came with one, eh?)

I don't know about Soyo but Asus mother boards come with Asus Probe which monitors temps, voltages, and fan speed. You could look for something similar with your motherboard or try Speed Fan.
