Rebooting after clearing Spyware

I have been using Spybot for about a year. I always reboot after cleaning up. Don't know if it's necessary. But feel more comfortable doing so. And seems like somewhere I read that this was recommended.

Sometimes when using Spybot it will ask you if you want to scan on the next reboot because some of the files count not be cleaned becuase they were in use....

So I say that it is a good idea... Unless you want to kill the process using the file and in that case you wont have to reboot.

I don't think it's necessary, but you won't hurt anything if you do want to reboot after a cleaning.

YES... Remove everything, reboot.. and SCAN AGAIN!!... Some of the stuff out there isn't so willing to leave. I have run across instances with over 100 items, removed, rebooted.. scanned, 20 items, removed.. rebooted.. scan.. 7 items.. removed rebooted.. scanned.. 50 items??? I scan and reboot until it is CLEAN.

Some times Ad-Aware makes me mad because a few times I have run scans and it messed up an IE file, and I had to do a reinstall...but overall Ad-Aware is a good program. The last time this happened was July. I don't usually reboot, but I may from now on. I like that Spybot has the feature to scan while your computer boots.
