DVD question
I've a friend who has been given the arduous task of scanning all of his fathers slides. The boxes fill a large closet. Once this project is complete, he would like to be able to burn them to a disc so that they can be viewed in a home DVD player. Is there a way to do this with a CDburner? I tried a burning a slideshow of images but the player I have won't recognise the formatted disc. If the images are burned just as say, bitmaps, could they be viewed as "tracks" and the remote functions of up and down used to go from one image to another? His father won't have anythijng to do with computers...my friend would like his father to be able to view them on his tv.

Some DVD players can recognize PhotoCDs. If your player does, then you can try burning the slides to a CD as a PhotoCD. If your player doesn't, though, you are probably out of luck. Check the DVD player's manual.
