Angry Fire Kazaa locks me out

Has anyone else got a problem with using Kazaa at the moment?

Every time I launch Kazaa a blue bar appears at the top of the screen and it locks me out of Windows/Kazaa and I can't click on anything. Only way I get control of Windows again is CTRL-ALT-DEL then closing Kazaa.

I've been using Kazaa for AGES without any problems until now......

No, I haven't experienced that problem. I'm getting a new computer this week and I've vowed never to use Kazaa again. Too much spyware comes with it. I still use antivirus and spyware protection but I think I'll just stay away from Kazaa from now one, although I heard that Kazaa lite is spyware free.
Just my 2 cents. :-)

If you are going to use a Kazaa program, use K-Lite. I would still be sure to use a firewall and AV software because while it may not have the spyware, etc., it still has infected files being shared since it uses the Kazaa network.

K-Lite is on it's way out dudes...Kazaa sued them and they're being shut down. Mine is currently still working, but I'm hearing more and more complaints from people that they can't get anything anymore as they get locked out from the supernodes.

Oh, so that's why their site has been down. Mine still works though, so I'll be sticking with it as long as I can.

Is the full (spyware) version all that bad? I use K-Lite and if I have to switch to a junk program I'd like to know before I infest my HD, TIA.

For some bizarre reason a false screen was created in front of Windows making it appear inoperable. I just dragged the Kazaa window down and the operable Kazaa window was behind it. I hope that makes sense!?

Don't ask me what's caused it though, I have no idea!

BTW, I don't know anything about Kazaa lite, never used it.

And why don't you use Kazaa Lite? Kazaa is riddled with spyware that you cannot remove without rendering the program inoperable. Kazaa has caused many problems with peoples PC's. Kazaa Lite supposedly has the spyware removed but I am not installing any form of Kazaa again.

Basically, K++ has the spyware and adware that comes with the Kazaa installer removed. It is the same thing as Kazaa Lite, and it works basically the same as the base Kazaa program. But, as HAL said, they were sued by Sherman Networks, the company that created Kazaa, and K-Lite is now done.
