Cant play .MOV files
i downloaded the doom 3 high res video and when i try to play it in quick time it says something about a decompressor or compressor. so i tried divx. same thing. so i trie windows media player and winDVD. same thing. i really want to watch this, it took me a long time to download and i was wondering what software i need to download to watch it. thanks.

You need one of two available players.
Either go to www.quicktime.com and put up with Apple's adware ridden junk, or do a web search for "quicktime alternative", as I can't give you a direct link here. |

OK, maybe not adware, but "phone home" or other crap.
I have my router set up with SPI, and it totally chokes whenever I try to use Quicktime. Something is definitely not good, and I just haven't bothered to sort it out. I just use an alternative
