I don't like and try not to use Real Player. I think it has bad quality streams and likes to skip around on me all the time. That never happens to me (or not as frequent) with WMP, so I use that and/or quicktime. Bye Bye Real.

I don't know what MS has been doing as far as Real Player goes but I sure know that Real Networks has done plenty to keep people from using their player. In addition to poor performance, spyware, constant checks for updates, questionable collecting of personal data...which they insist they're not actually using for anything...are a few of the reasons people are avoiding Real Player in droves.
If things go as they usually do in such court cases, nobody's going to ask any consumers why they're not using Real Player, which is a shame. Real Networks might learn something if they got to hear the end users' opinions. |
