i am working on an old gateway laptop and i need a phoenix bios that will support usb boot. i have never flashed a bios before, so i am not exactly sure what it is i am looking for. if anyone knows where to get this i would appreciate any assisstance

I'd look at the gateway website under support for BIOS upgrades. I did it once, it tells you the steps to take and what to do at the site or in the readme w/ the file.
