Bios set-up screen

I want to change my bios set-up screen but im not so sure on hwo to do this. My friend said there is something on the motherboard that has to be saughtered off in order to do this. Is there an easier way to change the bios screen? If not then what exactly do I have to remove in order to change it?

*edit* Im not talking aboot the actual set-up, Im talking aboot the manufacturer logo, such as the Dell logo. (I do not want to change a Dell motherboard, I want to change a Sony logo)

if you go in to the bios and look for an entry that says show logo and set it to disabled you can stop it from ruining but changing the pic is something best left to the experts as a slip up can make your computer unusable to change it you need a copy of your bios.bin file then you follow the link below then flash the bios check out
http://www.thetechguide.com/howto/bioslogo.html for award bios
please note THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS

Yes that is what I wanted only the bios boot screen. Since its really risky ill just wait until I buy another motherboard then try and change the on in this computer.

ok I am still not sure what screen your talking about.
when you first turn on the computer, some will show a logo the very first thing, this logo is changeable and removeable.

but when you go into the bios where the settings for the system are, no the logo normally cannot be changed there.

I mean the logo, not the set-up screen. Like where is says Sony or E-machines or Dell or whatever (I dont own an E-machiens it was just the first comp that came to my head).
