Registering a Service?

Hi

I was wondering how you register a service on Windows XP. I want Folding at home to run everytime without logging into windows.

On a side note, in Windows XP how do I make it show the administrator account under the logon bit? Isn't there a key you hold down...?

Thanks alot guys

At the login screen press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice.

If you use the Administrator account often and want it displayed on your Welcome screen with the rest of the accounts, then open up your registry editor and go to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList\

Create a new DWORD value by going to the Edit > New > DWORD value.
Value name: Administrator
ValueData : 1

Alternately, you can download the attached file, and rename the extension of the file to a .reg; then double-click on it to merge it to registry.

In that case just download the file and save it to a known location (say your desktop), rename it to a .reg file and double-click on it.

No worries, so long as the error is corrected.

Enjoy.
