Wink

do you get the usual post screen [before the windows 98 loading screen shows] so we know that your pc is still physically working right?

if so, you may have a software problem.

just before the windows screen shows, tap repeatedly on the f8 key to halt loading of win98.
you will get a menu screen with different boot choices.
use your arrow keys to scroll down to safe mode and hit enter.

if you can't even get windows to load in safe mode, then hold the power button till the pc shuts off [5 seconds].

now restart and use the f8 key again and this time choose start in ms-dos mode.

at the c:\ promt on the screen, type scanreg/restore and hit enter.

you will get a list of registry times where the pc was working ok. use the arrow keys to scroll to the newest one and hit enter.

if this doesn't help, repeat sequence and choose a slightly older date each time.

if this doesn't help, you may want to repost in the win98 software section for more specific info.
