Encrypting software?

I use a USB memory stick to transfer files between my partners and my own PC and am wondering if there is software which will encrypt/decrypt the files on the USB memory stick.

I have files that I would rather stay between us (regarding her divorce etc) and since I keep my memory stick with my car keys, I'm worried in case I lose it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

PGP is a pretty easy to use encryption program. You can use it to encrypt files with either symmetric encryption or asymmetric encryption. The newest version is 8.0, and you can get it for free for personal use at www.pgp.com.

Actually, that's not true. PGP Freeware is and always has been free. You can access it here: http://www.pgp.com/products/freeware.html

Talking

thankx for the link.
i looked and linked around for several minutes before i gave up.
putting the page link at the site in small print under a column called quick links along with other info made it hard for me to spot it.
in the future, do others the favor of providing this link as it makes life a little easier.
and thankx again for the program, ray.
