One often encounters "free" software that allows you so many days or a useage restriction.
As a matter of interest, how does this type of software keep track as removing and reloading doesn't allow any further use? |

once u install the software it makes an entry in the registry.so when the trial period expires an u try to uninstall and then reinstall it does not work as the entries r already in the registry.so what u an do is to set ur system time backwards to make the software run or edit ur registry.( this is a very risky affair and should not be tried out without profesional help)

It is different for each program. Freuently it is through a number code.
The only way to now for sure is to use one of the programs that track changes to the registry and file structure before and after installs. |

Stealing software is illegal. If you like the program and it expires, buy it.

Hey Jokerman! No-one said anything about stealing software, it was an innocent question - you are welcome to check my machine, anytime.
BTY - living outside of the States often means it is impossible to buy software that is timed as there is no way to make the required payment; we have to make use of it until it expires and then find something else. |
