creative surrond mixer will not install

I just installed a 2.1 speaker set to my digital port. I also have my normal 2 piece speaker set to the default analog audio port. However, the only set of speakers that will play are the ones in the analog port. I used to have creative surround mixer that would allow me to have sound surround in this method and fix the problem.

After re-downloading creative surrond mixer, it would install properly, but when I reboted the computer none of the programs would work. I checked the folder and there are no .EXE files of any kind. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling and checking the disk multiple times.

Is there another way to get all the speakers working (audio and sounds in the control panel does nothing)? If not, how can I get the program working?

I have a PIII 933 MHZ, 384 MB RAM running windows XP, Sound Blaster Live : Value sound card, and drivers are up to date.
