Downloading Flash animations

How can I download and save Flash 'toons? Right-click just gives flash options or if you can get it to read "save target as" it just becomes an html document......I've tried playing it and looking for an .swf file in a temp folder somewhere afterwards but no dice......A webpage that I tried scanning for info seemed to infer that its actually stored in the RAM....is this correct? any suggestions?
