Dragon Naturally Speaking 5.0

I bought this program from Comp USA and didn't open it until a later date of three weeks or more. I was building the computer that I planned to use this program on and still, at that time didn't have all the parts. Anyway, I finished building the computer and then found out I couldn't use it on Windows XP and Chose Windows 2000 Pro which it is suppose to install on. Had to buy a sound card and Windows Word and install them on the computer. I try to install Dragon Naturally Speaking 5.0 and get to step three and it needs the CD key from the CD sleeve. I enter the CD key and the program CD will not except it. I tried to call this company on the telephone and their number is disconnected. I didn't get any help on line with them either. I cant send this back to Comp USA because I've had it longer than 14 days. I quess I'm stuck with a program that I can't use and out alot of money also. What would you do? JayDee

Did you try the website? http://support.broderbund.com/customer_serv_help.asp

For your information, I do not know what you are expecting, but this program works by you speaking into a microphone on word at a time real slow, then you grab the mouse and left click and drag to highlight what the program just typed on the screen. Next you use the keyboard to type in what you really wanted, then you repeat the above.

Naturally Speaking 5 works great. I am using right now and I am not touching the mouse or keyboard. It is very good at recognizing speech. I am using Windows XP and I had to download a patch to make it work but it works great.

Guys, I've solved my problem. I bought the Dragon Naturally Speaking 7 and it installed on my wife's computer that I just got finished building for her. She says she wants to write a book, but I don't know what she is planning to write about. If it is me that she plans to write about, Then it will be a very boring book and won't sell very well. Thanks again. JayDee
