outlook problem

when ever i start up outlook to get my e-mails it shut down AOL and the connection so it basicly screws itself cause says sorry there is no connection it is pissing me off

AOL does not play well with any email software other than its own.

If you want to use Outlook to get your AOL mail, you might want to take a look at ENetBox Mail

It also works with Outlook Express and a couple of others.

There is a free trial version.

i am not looking to open my AOL mail i am looking to open my hotmail and website e-mail and it crashes aol

Are you running Norton anti-virus? If so, disable it and see if the disconnect problem goes away. NAV has been known to cause the problem.

If it's Outlook Express rather than Outlook you are using, check OE's Tools>Options>Connections tab and make sure "Hang up after sending and receiving" isn't checked.
