Need Advice
I'm going to need a program to copy my entire hard drive to a new hard drive. Can I get your opinions on which one is the easiest and best? Thank you.

I like Norton Ghost, but other than the IBM cloning program I got with my IBM drive I bought retail, I have not used any other program. If U do get one with your harddrive then use that as it should work well and will not cost any extra.. I think you can even download such programs from the harddrives manufacturers website. The one I got with my IBM drive will only work if there is an IBM drive involved in the copying process though and I would think that perhaps that may be a common thing with the ones you either get with a retail drive, or download from their website....

Yeah you can use the Drive manufacture's utilities, but DI is well worth the money since it does some handy things.
This is the link to the Videos I forgot to post; http://www.powerquest.com/support/videos/driveimage7/ KT> If you go to the links I posted for DI, Norton seems to think so highly of Ghost that they seem to have bought out PowerQuest. Last edited by morriswindgate; 01-17-2004 at 02:41 PM. |
