words underlined in orange
when im sufing the net certain words are underlined in orannge and become a link but its not part of the web page does anyone know how to get rid of it???

Its most likely spyware, run spybot and Ad aware, you can find them both at www.download.com

Are you sure it's not part of the webpage? Hotlinks are blue by default, but can be set to a different color in "Internet Options" under "Colors".
Those new pop-up adds are showing up in all sorts of different ways, but they really are part of the webpage. Just very fancy parts. (most webpages are supported by advertising, after all) Run spyware and virus scans just to be sure, though. Gator and whatnot add more nonsense than a Ringling Bro's circus to the web experience. . . . Gary |
