Question installing xp proffessional

is there anyway i can install xp pro over xp home upgrade so that i dont have to do a fresh install? if i have to do a fresh install what would be the steps i have to take?

You should be able to boot to XP Home, drop in the Pro CD and perform the upgrade.

If you decide to wipe and start over.... boot from the XP Pro CD and follow the instructions as they come.

lets see if I understand you correctly.
you have a upgrade version of xp-home on your system right now, and you want to upgrade to xp-pro full version.
is this correct ?

I don't think this will work very well, as I think you will need to remove the activated xp-home, before you can install the full version of xp-pro.
because of the activation problem sence it is not a upgrade.

xp home will do everything that xp-pro does, except for the network domain that big companies have, why do you feel you need to do this ?
