CD-RW/Quicken Question

Is there a program or some way in WinXP so you can create an CD-RW that allows you to drag and drop files onto it like its a floppy drive?

The reason I ask is, I have Quicken and I used to do all of my backups on a zip disk but a friend said I could use a CD-RW but he said I have to format it a certain way in order to use it. My intention is to constantly backup my data, erasing my old data and replacing it with the new info on something like a weekly schedule.

Thanks in advance.

The CD needs to be formatted first. What burning software are you using?

I don't have any. Is it something that XP can do or do I need to buy a new program?

I believe there is a way with XP's built in CD burning software. I have it disabled so I can't tell you how. Maybe someone else will pick up on this post that can give you some more info. Sorry!

on the nero cd is a program named incd this is the nero packet wrighting software which must be instaled on your computer then you put a cdrw disk in the drive and using incd you format the disk then the disk can be used like another harddrive or a large flopy it will show in explorer as a normal drive
