Ghost doesn't recognize CD-Rom Drive
I am running Ghost 2003 and am having problems backing up my 20 gig hard drive to cd's. Ghost does not seem to recognize my drive. I have done some digging and I read that it might be my Bios. I have never flashed my bios and I can tell you my version is A09 and Dell has the version at A22. Is this something I should do? I can't afford to have my computer disabled should I mess up. If I do need to flash do can I just use the latest one or do I have to go sequentially?
Thanks, Wendy |

I went to the site and saw that my drive is NOT on the list. Does that mean I can never use Ghost on my laptop or does Symantec update their list? I couldn't find anything on my question. I did try to use the peer-peer connection with my desktop (xp pro) to clone my drive (win 98 se) but I could not get it to work. I tried using my 4 port linksys hub with no luck. How can I back up my drive?
Thanks, Wendy |
