Obviously, to make a DVD, you will need a DVD drive that can burn DVDs. In addtion you need these

DVD 2 One
Nero
DVD burner.

DVD........

CMT.... JASC Paint Shop Photo Album will make a VCD you can play on your DVD player. You can add music also. I made one at Christmas and gave a CD to all the guests. I THINK JASC has an evaluation version you can try........

You can make a VCD (video CD) that is *playable* in a DVD player without a DVD burner, scracker. You need a CD burner and burning software that's capable of burning a VCD.

I suggest you browse the forums at http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/

Do you have a DVD burner, or are you making an (S)VCD?
Do you have a regular burner?
What burning software do you have?

You can use Windows Movie Maker to create your slideshow.
It's free.

1) Import your digital images.
2) You should be able to set the length of each image.
3) It should let you import Audio ( music or recorded speach)
4) This is impotrant, make sure you output the clip to DV-AVI.
5) Convert the avi to mpeg2 ((S)VCD) with TMPGEnc.
