Open boot.ini

I don't know how to open the boot.ini file, I need some advice. Is the boot.ini the Windows bootloader file?

And in my Window XP, I do a search, I only get boot.ini.backup, no boot.ini, why?

Right click on the boot.ini file, select "open with" and scroll down and select notepad.

Start > run > type "msconfig" > "BOOT.INI" tab.
