i just used partition magic to convert a fat32 hd to ntfs. now, when i try to create a new partition on that hd, it gives me and error, "error 1601, error in ntfs partition." i ran chkdsk as the powerquest website suggests, but it found no errors. any idea on how to make this partition, or was there an error that cannot be fixed in the original conversion. thanks in advance

I would suggest removeing that partition and leave it as free space.
then boot into xo and format it with drive management |
