System crashing / unstable

Suddenly for no obvious reason i started having these problems. I was working on a Word Document when my system randomly for no reason rebooted. After that any and everytime i open any file (like other documents) when the program for them (like MS Word) opens, the system crashes and reboots. When i go thru with the send error report upon reboot, Microsoft tells me it is being caused by a device driver problem, but i looked in device manager and all my devices and drivers are fine.

so whats wrong? everytime i open a microsoft word document, or a corel draw file, or anything else my system crashes and reboots.

and then to make matters wurse, theres an extra 30 seconds of boot up time. After I log in the screen just freezes there for like 30 seconds (the desktop background pic shows up, but no sart menu or desktop icons) then 30 seconds later it starts normal.

I have run spyware, adware, and virus scans, also have run disk clean and defragment on all disks.

system specs posted in signature, OS is XP pro.

You have a driver problem. Just because device manager says they are okay, that doesn't mean anything. Start by uninstalling the video driver and reinstalling.

Have you tried a system restore?
