Acronis True Image 7.0

I recently bought this program while looking for a replacement for Drive Image, which I have used for years as a backup image program. And on all the computers I build, I have priced in Drive Image as a part of the total cost, just so that I can easily get a person back up when they have problems. However Drive Image cannot be operated by untrained monkeys, so I was looking for a replacement program that would be easier to explain over the phone when I came across this one.
I could not be happier. This program will make an image of the active drive from within Windows and backup all the system files. It will create a hidden locked partiton to store these on. In the event of a complete Windows failure all you have to do is press F11 at the DMI window to start the recovery. It will do incremental backups, copy a hard disk to another hard disk including the active one, it will set up a new hard disk, it will backup to CD-R/RW or DVD media, and it will make a bootable rescue CD.
It is also fast with my C Drive Image taking just 20 minutes for a 18.4Gig original.
I highly recommend this program and the PDF explains it better than I can.

I just wanted to update my thoughts on this program. Since I first wrote this, I have put this program thru all of it's features on a new build and I want to state without reservation that it does everything promised without error.
This is a much better and more usable program than Norton Ghost or Drive Image. Not to mention the fact that Symantec now owns both Ghost and Drive Image and we know how they can screw up a good thing.
