could anyone please give some idea's on why a program would crash? when i try to start the program by clicking on the short cut icon on my desktop. the program doesnt run and i get and error message, EXPLORER this program has performed an illeagle operation and will be shut down, could i have some files that are conflicting or could this be a driver issue ?

It could be currupted. Maybe from something you downloaded or deleted. It could be alot of things really.

What program? Is the program on win98 or is it from a manufacturer, download, or what? Could be the program relied on something else to run and now you dont have it anymore. Try to find the requirements for the program and see if you have everything. Hope this helps.
