Get outlook to download and notify automatically like incredimail
Can anyone tell me how i can get outlook to keep running all the time in the background like incredimail does and the butler notifies me of new mail.I tried putting outlook in my start up folder, but when i close outlook it stops checking for new mails unless i start the program again.
I want outlook to run all the time and notify me when i have new mail by figuring out if i am online or not without having to start the program myself or shut it down like incredimail. |

I use HideOutlook, which is freeware and you can download from this page. You can configure it to load on startup and it will minimize Outlook to the system tray. Outlook stays running in the background and will check for new mail in the intervals you set up in Outlook>Tools>Options>Mail Delivery tab.
If you're using Outlook Express, you can get HideOE from the same site which will do the same thing for Outlook Express. |

LOL! You're welcome. I'd love to take full credit for finding those little gems but I have to admit I learned about them from TechTV's site. Glad to help.
