help with extension..
anyone know how to open and modify a file with the extension .bnt ?

it is something to do with binary transfer...but no programmes can open it.

Where did you get it from? If it is binary data it could be anything, a program, a picture, anything.

I'm still unclear as to what that file is for. If it goes with the game and is some kind of configuration file, look at the game documentation. Or open with a hex editor to see if there is any useful information.

It's a program that allows you to edit binary files. You can find free ones online by googling them; I use NitroHex and WinHex.
