Adobe Photo Deluxe Problems

I have Adobe PhotoDeluxe Business Edition 1.0. I have discs of pictures which I saved in folders using PhotoDeluxe when I had Windows 98 in my computer. Since I changed to Windows XP Home, when I print a picture from those same discs the picture comes out fine, but the title lettering at the bottom of the picture comes out garbled. This problem happens on pictures that I originally saved in PDD (photodeluxe format). The pictures that I saved in JPEG format have no problem.

Now I found that when I scan new pictures in my updated computer and save them in JPEG format using the same PhotoDeluxe software they also print the title lettering garbled. Can anyone help me solve this serious problem? I have about 40 discs of pictures like this.
