Dualboot slow down computer?

Hey ya'll.. I was told that having a dualboot setup on your PC can cause it to boot slower or something. Do to the fact that having a dual boot uses more memory.

Now, I personally don't beleive it but I have been wrong before.

I don't dual boot, but the only thing I know that would slow down the boot up process is when the boot loader asks you which OS you want to use.

And I don't think having a dual boot system will use more RAM during boot up that a single OS system (I can't even see how that would happen since only 1 OS will be running at a time anyway).

Having a dual boot system will eat up more hard drive space though.

Those are my thoughts exactly... Just need some reassurance.
