I thought all dvds were copy protected, I here people talking about backing them up all the time here. Is there anyway for me to make a backup of it?

All (or: nearly all) DVDs are copy protected with CCE, that is what DVD decrypter can handle. I don't know of any other protection for DVDs.
Does DVD decrypter give you that error message for any DVD or just certain DVDs ?
