Typing tutorial software

Hi!

I decided to finally learn how to touch-type. I took a typewriting class (using actual, manual typewriters) in high school but I never paid attention to it. I just spent my time staring at the girl in front of me.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone can recommend some freeware prog or website that can tell me which finger hits which key. It would also be helpful if it can accurately record my typing speed (wpm). It must be compatible with WinXP Pro SP1.

TIA

Yet another Typing Tutor (the actual name of the software) is a free light typing tutor. It is admittedly a little bare on features, but it lets you learn touch typing by typing out any file you open. Also, it gives you a realtime readout of mistakes made as you type, and a readout on typing speed as you exit the program. Get it here: http://www.simtel.net/product.php?ur...uct_page=57405 or from the home page at: http://clickit.pair.com/diegoami/yatt

If you want a really full featured tutor and don't mind paying for it, get TypingMaster from here: www.typingmaster.com/

TypingMaster is a real classroom based teaching system for touch typing, and supports a variety of keyboard types.
