windows xp home wont boot at set up

built my first everything works system reconizes all hardware ,first time setting up cmos,yfor yes press f10 to save then press enter hope i did it right load windows xp home formatted hdd got to end at 14 seconds to reboot,it dosent. goes back to bios setup,was on the phone for an hour with microsoft trying to solve this,they said it was a bios problem man i need help.

Have you checked the CPU temperature? Is it too high? I notice that there is a BIOS update for a CPU temp issue. It might be going back to the BIOS to notify you of a CPU temperature problem. I checked, this mobo doesnt have BIOS level antivirus.

bios says cpu temp is 59c but there is a download from gigabyte for incorrect cpu temp in bios which i have not done,my case led temp display says cpu temp is32c

it was jumper settings on hdd,on a w-d drive, single cable by itself you use no jumper this is master, works fine now,loaded without a hitch.
