Easycleaner, unnessary files
I just ran Easycleaner and it found over 1100 "unnecessary files" I chose them all, and deleted them. How do you know if this is safe or not ? They were not actually deleted yet, as I understand they went to the re-cycle bin. Does anyone really look at each file to determine if it can be deleted permanently ?

I've been using Easy Cleaner for years. I've never had it "overclean" anything. But it does have a buggy for Windows XP. "Help" has to be entered into the Skip box (in Unnecessary Files section) or your Help and Support won't work.
If you've already got bitten by that situation, do a search for Doug Knox. He has a quick patch to fix it. |

Thanks RayH for the reply. I guess I can just delete those "Unnecessary Files" that Easycleaner found and put in the Recycle Bin. And, I found out the hard way about putting HELP in the skip box before doing a scan.
