Any good video codecs package out there?

Does anyone know a good video codec package out there. There are some video files that i couldnt play.

Agreed. Stay away from the Nimo, Ace, All in 1, SLD or just about any other codec pack you'll find on-line. The Kristal pack is the only one I've found to correctly install codecs as well as correctly register them. It also uses unhacked or modified codecs which can damage drivers or make video unplayable.

ok thx, i almost install Ace but i guess i'll go with Kristal. I tho the file size is small compare to other packages.

I found a really good place to search for things about codecs and such at www.dvdrhelp.com. Try it and see. It is a forum type location also. I am trying to begin the learning process for copying all my vhs tapes to dvd/svcd. Hope this helps.

The other codec you might consider (for conversion/encoding, not viewing) is huffyuv.
