Office XP --> Office 2003

To Upgrade or not to Upgrade... that is the question

What is the general opinion here from people who have it or have links to articles about it?

Thanks for your help

Jim

Office XP is bad enough. I can't see paying the money for more bloatware.

Yeah, I still use Office 2000 since it's all I need. There's only a couple of real differences between XP and 2003 plus I hear Office 2003 has alot of problems with crashes. If you just use Office to write letters, spreadsheets, email, etc. you only need Office XP

The *ONLY* reason to upgrade OXP to O2K3 would be for the improved version of Outlook or if you want to use SharePoint, Outlook is actually a VERY good program now.

I don't use or even want to use Outhouse, so I still use O97, it does everything I need to do and by today's standards, it's very lean. Other than Access, it can read any Office file created in any later version.

Ooooh, I love Outlook tbh :P

I'm looking for a way at the moment to set an auto-responder up for when I go away but it looks like Outlook needs Exchange Server :@ to be able to do this

I might just upgrade now actually, thanks for that George, I do use the other programs, but Outlook is the one I have open 24/7

Thanks again

Jim
